Health Terms Page
I collaborated with another designer and engineer to redesign the acknowledgment page that users would see before they pick their insurance. Working on this was a valuable experience because of the collaboration and short turn around time. It proved to me that I belong in content design.
Context: When choosing health insurance during open enrollment or otherwise, users need to acknowledge the action they’re about to take.
The problem: The overall layout and organization of information created confusion and added to the cognitive load.
The solution: Using the company’s design system, I used the best way to structure the information. This was a lot of content so I used what was absolutely necessary for the user to know in the body copy. I then broke the important messages into two sections and decided on two icons instead of six. By the time I finished designing, I realized the final product was in an F-shape layout and that I could create intuitive experiences based on design principle and thinking.
This was the result after implementing the changes.
